About Us

The '7 Project' Community Drop-In Centre has an 'open door' policy for men and women who are marginalised through life controlling addictions i.e. drug, alcohol and mental health issues resulting in prolific offending, homelessness, little or no income etc. within our local community of Worksop.

We want individuals to be able to relax in a safe and supportive environment. Receive breakfast and/or lunch in pleasant surroundings. We have the necessary facilities available for both men and women to take showers and the provision for washing and drying of clothes. We intend to empower both men and women who enter our doors. Offer practical information and advice that is available to them in the local and surrounding area.

The 7 Project Community Drop-in Centre will act as a sign-posting advocate whose sole purpose is to help by giving a range of sound choices to those who are most disadvantaged within our community.

7 Project by the GRACE of GOD can 'SUPPORT YOU'.....

About 7 Project

7 Project aims to offer clients a POSITIVE solution to gain freedom from their life controlling addictions. We do this by offering clients support in THEIR recovery and the opportunity to apply to, If needed a SUITABLE rehabilitation organisation who have high success rates for clients completing a structured programme.

We are committed to providing an equality of opportunity to all our clients within a safe environment and aim to reach those who are most excluded from our society, often acting as a safety net when statutory organisations are unable to meet their needs. Objectives include;

  • Empowerment of clients

  • Social Inclusion

  • Promoting self esteem

  • Helping clients back to better health and independence

  • Signposting to other specialist agencies

  • Advocacy, support and understanding

  • Protecting vulnerable groups and making communities safer

  • Centred on Christ - a strong and consistent focus on Christ and His call to the Church to serve the ‘poor'.
  • Motivated by compassion - constantly seeking to reflect God’s broken heart for addicts and His love and power to see them living in the fullness of life He created them for.
  • We believe that the highest ideal is to ensure that such fullness is experienced primarily by preventing people misusing substances in the first place.
  • Committed to the local church - we recognise that the local church should be the principle vehicle of Christian efforts and the core means of resourcing that endeavour.
  • For the community and family - we believe that the value of family and community cannot be over emphasised in relation to people experiencing complete liberation and attaining their full potential in God.
  • Committed to a drug free lifestyle – and the dignity and wholeness that come through abstinence and sobriety.
  • Committed to excellence - while we affirm the highest standards of professionalism our foundational principle remains ‘the simplicity of the Gospel’. Therefore our aim is to enable and encourage one another to honour God through standards of excellence.
